Worked as a Registered Nurse at various hospitals in Mobile, Alabama

Specialized in cardiac care, oncology and hospice, pulmonary care, and the care of stroke patients

Proficient in the care of medical/surgical patients

Serve as the Stroke Coordinator for the University of South Alabama. Acquired stroke certification within one year

Worked in Nursing leadership for more than 20 years

Currently serving our nation hero’s at the Gulf Coast Veteran Health Care Systems

Experience

Extensive training and experience with cardiac patients i.e ., coronary catheterizations, open heart bypass post-surgical care, cardioversions, administration of cardiac drugs and drips. Experienced in hospital and cardiac protocols. Proficient in the care of pulmonary, oncology and hospice patients. Expert experience in Stroke Care. Served as a stroke coordinator. Extensive experience in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of cardiac patients. Highly experienced in educating patients pre and post-op care. Educated family members on discharge orders and care while at home. Assisted in the creation of unit policies and procedures. Extensive background on educating other team members. Serve in nursing leadership for 20 years and proficient creating action plans for process improvement initiatives.
